I posted this in the other forum and just in case you have not seen it I will post it in this forum as well. I also wanted to mention I could not sleep so I felt like posting this to you Jon. I have to disagree with some of your comments about T-mobile USA. Earlier I did mention that if T-mobile were not going to be expanding in coverage and capacity wise and spectrum, they would be in a world of trouble. Obviously, with the massive purchase during the AWS spectrum, increasing coverage with cell towers, roll out with 3G shortly, and purchase of Suncom, allows them to continue to be there competing in the marketplace. For a company like T-mobile that has struggled with its growth because of a lack of spectrum and coverage has been doing a gre...

Don't forget the incredible customer service (according to um JDPower for the last 5 years). And the mad Business Weeks and Forbes lists for top 20 service companies.

I could care less about JD reports and Forbes because they do not have the credibility for reporting anything statistically or opinion wise.

Its statistically significant. The sample size is between 16 and 20 thousand subscribers and chi treatments show significance and regressionsbear out a strong case to generalize from sample to population. 😉

I know all about statistics and those formulas as I have taken a few courses myself and have implemented the data and vernacular into my thesis, but the reason for me that I do not care what either JD or Forbes think have to deal with the fact that Forbes is wrong a lot of the time with no actual information, while JD does have a small sample size and I don’t think it is a true evaluation of the numbers. I also think that JD could be in agreements with the carriers. Sort of like Cingular and Telephia. The metrics that I care about have to do with churn, ARPUs, lifetime revenue per user, net adds, penetration rate, cell sites on air, POPs, acquisitions, and other relevant information.

Absolutely. If I had to look at a company that does surveys and metrics analysis, I would look at other companies than JD.

Could you elucidaye your reasoning that places the level of customer satisfaction with their provider outside of the realm of important metrics?

“elucidaye “isn’t even a word but I think you were trying to say, “elucidate”. Basically, I look at lifetime revenue per subscriber, churn, net adds and other metrics to determine the loyalty. Involuntary and voluntary churn really go for the loyalty aspect. JD powers I could care less if they say good things or bad things about a company because I don’t take their opinion to hard. I look at again the above information that I mentioned earlier and look at other data that I receive. MOUs and others.

Do you have a company that evaluates these metrics or do you simply mock the ones that are actually trying to bring the best unbiased opinion and awards to different companies across all industries, and not just telecom, for their above average services or features?

My sources have many people and reports that they gather in which I team up with them and analyze the data and make inferences. All of the information is unbiased.

I'm sorry, isn't Sprint/Nextel the company that just forced their CEO to quit because the company is floundering so badly since the merger? I'll believe independant tests over internal memos any day.

Also because Forsee was a horrible CEO from his days at Sprint and his days at Sprint/ Nextel. Therefore, I do not know what that has to do with my original point but I was not mentioning any internal memos.

I do not care if a company is awarded by any of those companies in which I mentioned such as Forbes, Telephia, JD and others. I only care about data presented by the carrier and information that I can gather. My sources are deep in this whole industry as well as other industries so I would trust them over Wiki or JD any day.

The only low life here is you mingkee or midget whatever your name is. Did I say anything in my post that was untrue. TMO and PINKYS suck and to overcome that insecurity, you guys post all the hateful and rude comments. Frankly, it is funny as HeLL to read your responses. Everybody out there is laughing their heads off reading your comments.
Try one more time to defend your tiny network coverage. I am sure it will be fun.

No idea, you would have to ask them. I remembered back when I first posted that I resorted to that behavior but I don’t like to deal with it whether I give or receive so I figured out to win an argument you are armed with data and not childish-like behaviors.

Look, All I said in my original post is that if you want 3G today, go to the any of the big carriers. If the TMO guys can't take this simple and true fact, it is not my fault. If you want to brag about your network, weather it be UMA or My Favs, well and good. If thats what works for you 'stick together'. I did not want pink phones with pink menus color that cannot be changed and I wanted wireless music downloads, cutting edge technology and the collest gadgets and wanted in NOW so i went with the company that 'raises the bar'. To have the coolest gear and latest tech, I understand I have to pay more and I do.
Bottom line is that whatever works for you, so if you want to get More Bars In More Places, Stick Together, move at Sprit Speed, ge...

This post was actually to Jonathanlc2005. Reason why people are getting excited for the launch by T-mobile is that the price points and devices are probably going to be better than the products and services that are being offer now. Of course, they are way behind in coverage but that will improve as they spend more. by the way, AT&T’s getting more bars campaign mean nothing since bars don’t say if you will have service and if the call will go through or not. More importantly, because of T-mobile’s emergence into the 3G area, the prices should come down due to competition.

Given what T-mobile has or lack thereof they are doing a great job against the other carriers that have a better coverage network and 3G, more spectrum (...

For an underdog they are doing quite well and with their penetration rate so low and the others so high, T-mobile has more to gain then to lose. I think the big dogs should have been worried as soon as DT said they would infuse capital into T-mobile USA and after T-mobile USA won that AWS spectrum that launched their MHz holding to around 53, which does not include the purchase of Suncom, which adds another 15-20Mhz in certain markets.

I bet the AWS support unlocked phone will come fast, due to bigger push of T3
if the 3G reception is better than current GSM 1900, we can expect more customers will migrate to T3
don't forget some cool 3G phones are on the way
nokia 6263 (6267), 6500s, 5610
