I'd prefer the 2 year, so I can get a discount. I have bad credit; therefore, I'm on Flex Pay, which is okay. The only drawback is that the hold time for flex pay accounts is longer.

I have a Dash and an SDA, and my fiancee has a Sidekick 3. I bought a Dash because my MDA is being repaired [I miss that phone 😢].

I know nothing about the Sidekick, because it's not my style. You can on the Dash, I believe.

i work in a tmobile sales call center. and let me tell you..2 yr contract is better lol. its so hard to sell flexpay cuz you have to pay in advance every month. not to mention flexpay class N is where you have to buy the phones full retail. we did it to get rid of deposits but its still pretty much a deposit. but you shouldnt really be wondering..considering flexpay is something you are qualified for..you cant request to be on flexpay whether someone at a store tells you that or not. getting on flexpay is based on your credit in the first place. in some cases you might be able to request getting on credit class N, but you still need to get the phone for full retail price. either way...i prefer the 2 yr contract lol 😳

actually not an accurately phrased question 😁 flex pay has the option (if you qualify) for either a month to month OR annual one or two year contract. the plans are exactly the same prices; the advantage for the monthly is of course no early termination fee, disadvantage, no discount on phone. the advantages of a flexpay over a traditional post paid contract would be 1) no activation fee and 2) no overages, so no unexpected high bills, same payment every month. advantages of a post paid contract would be 1) more options i.e. stand alone data, unlimited hotspot 2) dont have to pay up front for your plan, just your phone 3) can change your plan or features pretty much whenever you want. on flex, you cant add or change in most instances until ...

the pay is no differant then any carrier. Just with post paid all that you just say you have to pay upfront is in your first bill.

Flexpay does give you the ability to cancel whenever you would like, and there is no activation fee. However, the contract would save you some money on a phone. If you credit is not great, you may still be able to get Flexpay with a 2 year contract and get the discount.

Customer care hold times for Flexpay should improve as more reps are added and as the kinks in the system get more and more worked out.

Either way, T-Mobile is definitely the way to go!
