I currently have t-mobile along with the moto v300 and i have to say i like the moto phones the best...the question i have is that since ATT and cingular merged i wanna know if it would be wise to change or just stick with t-mo....from the looks of the coverage maps between the 2, cingular has it beat by a milestone...but whats gettin me too is the phone selection...that moto v551 looks freakin' sweet...Let me know what you think!

Thanks 😁

i think that u should switch to cungular i work for att wireless and there would be no sence to go to att considering we will be cingular, youll have roll over minutes,we have a robust testing standards for all handsets, plus we have the new state of the art 64 k sim, compared to the blue sim it is amazing, it will give u a whole lot better coverage

Yep... and if you are into downloading stuff to your phone, or using the wireless web, then Cingular is the place for you... EDGE... T Mobile won't roll out edge for awhile and Cingular already has it... just make sure you ask around to see how the coverage in YOUR area is... or post your zip on here and I'll check internally and let you know what it will be like...

Yeah cause my contract ends at the end of the month for t-mo, i like the plan and all its just that my phone doesn't get signal around certain areas and inside building reception is crap....anyways my zip is 60046 i just think that cingular would have better reception over all...not that im gonna go out in the the boonies and talk on my cell phone...its just that i want whats up to date and the best thats available....yeah i like downloading stuff on my phone, i was looking at getting that Moto V551 if i change..it has EDGE on it to and it looks sweet too 🙂

Actually, the V551 is basically the same phone as the V300, except that it has EDGE as you said and also bluetooth. One thing to think about... if you stick with T-Mobile you can get on the 3 day weekend promotion starting on Monday. For 39.99 a month you get 600 anytime minutes and unlimited calling all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can add unlimited nights for 9.99 extra. If you are looking for a sweet new phone you should check out the new Samsung P735 that is rolling out later this month. Another side note on EDGE: it really doesn't make a noticeable difference unless you are using your phone as a modem to dial up. Downloading ringtones and pictures will be a little faster, but in my experience it hasn't been that big of a d...

Ok... so for $49.98 you get 600 anytime minutes and unlimited nights and weekend... Let's see... for $49.99 w/ cingular you get Nation wide calling, 600 anytime minutes w/ rollover, Unl mobile to mobile (to 46 million customers), and unl nights and weekends... You save a penny with tmobile and gain what again?

Actually for 39.99 you get 600 Whenever U/L Nts And Weekends Nationwide no roaming or long distance in U.S. and 6.99 also get U/L T2T so it would be 46.98! 😎

😁 That's true, good point. You save 3.00 if you take the regular 600 minutes with Unlimited Night and Weekend minutes, and add the Unlimited Mobile 2 Mobile. With that 3-Day Weekend Plan its bull crap, because you get 600 minutes with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday being Unlimited for the same price but just to add Night you have to pay 9.99, which totals 39.99 + 9.99= 49.98. With this plan you are not actually getting Friday free.

Yeah, I think it was much better when the 3 day weekends with nights was only an extra 4.99. Anyway, T-Mobile has retracted the blast email about 3 day weekends now, so I'm not sure if its happening or not.

😁 People don't like that plan, now? So are they going to put the 1000 minutes with Unlimited Night and Weekends for 39.99 a month instead? Please say yes!

Dude, you really need to chill out about that plan. How many people have already told you the answer? Nobody knows right now! If anybody did, they would have answered you or posted elsewhere.

How do you figure it's the better? Base rate is $39.99... To add unlimited Nights it's $9.99... and if you want M2M it's an additional $6.99? So, you get friday free... woohoo... To build the same rate plan on Cingular's end it would cost... 39.99 + 9.99 + 6.99 == 56.97... wow the savings... and for $3 more w/ cingular you get Nationwide coverage, 850 any time minutes, rollover, unl mobile to mobile, unl nights AND weekends... Yeah... I see your point... wow that's an awesome plan... let me jump at that deal... 🙄

You missed the point. The regular 39.99 plan includes 600 minutes nationwide WITH free nights and weekends. The 3 day weekend is just an option. So, for 46.99 you get 600 minutes, free nights and weekends, and free mobile to mobile.

Here's the other thing. If you choose a nationwide plan, you'll have coverage where you're at because the v551 has both 1900 and 850mhz networks. Wherever there's GSM coverage in the states, you're covered @ no roaming charges. Plus, ROLLOVER! 🙂
