Coverage isn't the only factor in deciding who is better. Like amuney said, look at the customer service side of things. Or how about selection of phones? But if you're asking personal opinions then I would have to say that T-Mobile is better.

The real question is who is better for me. Everyone had different needs and wants. Find the carrier that fits you best and enjoy. Go into a retail store (don't go to indirect dealers) and ask lots of questions and then make an educated choice.

Don't pull that "don't go to indirect dealers" crap. There are many, myself included, who know every bit as much about T-Mobile as you do. Not to mention the fact that they may very well get a better price on a phone. I am so SICK of this anti-indirect attitude, when I know very well that NOBODY sells T-Mobile better or more honestly than I do, direct or indirect. Keep in mind that T-Mobile's huge growth and success owes a lot to its successful partnership with indirect dealers.

Then you are the only one in the country. I am not trying to insult you. I am just speaking from experience and lots of cleaning up after indirects. I had to resolve and issue with a woman who was told by an indirect that TMo would roam on verizon's towers. I am sorry, but that type of behavior is the norm and not the exception when it comes to indirect.

And don't you give me that better price crap. You know that we match prices at the corporate stores. Better service, better price and the truth. Go to a direct dealer.

You may match prices, but that would require the customer to go shop around and then come to you to report what he has found. The up front pricing is going to be better at an indirect than the up front pricing at a corporate store, and many customers don't know that when they go into your store. For example, right now I'm giving away the Moto V180 with new activations, while your pricing says $119.99.
And while there may be a fair number of bad indirects, there are also lots of good ones. It's just ridiculous for you to say that.

as much as i love tmobile, tmofreak you are incorrect, when i got the E715 guess what the ONLY rebate tmobile was giving me, $50, to make the phone $249.99, guess how much i got the phone for a total of $50, tmobile would NOT match that.......but hey you just gotta know how to shop around i suppose

If you had come into my store you would have been matched. We don't let business walk. Oh, and JDigital, I appreciate your efforts to be honest and truthful, but you are most certainly the exception. Step into some other indirects or just walk through a mall and listen to the lies that are coming from these jokers. You might be surprised, but it is the truth.

TMoFreak, there is at least one other good company out there. We have to go through a thorough checklist with the customer, which outlines everything. They have to sign and date it, along with the sales person stating that they know and understand what they are buying.

The corporate store near me does NOT match prices. They hated us when they were selling the sidekick for 250 and we sold it for 100.

I have heard some of the lies that some dealers tell, horrible. I have actually interrupted them and pointed out how wrong they are, using their own brochures. It's actually pretty fun to do that.

Well, I thank you both for fighting the good fight. The dealers in our area suck. I had a guy in here today that paid $100 for a 3390 with no manual last month. The dealer told him his bill would be 39.99 each month and no taxes and did not mention the activation fee. I hate that these guys make things difficult for you guys and us. Thanks again for being one of the good ones.

something tells me that is not true man, the phone had basically just been released, they would let business walk if it were for a $250 discount on a phone that was just released

which is good, i happen to recommend tmobile to all of my friends and what not simply because of this, in my area ALL carriers have GREAT reception, but tmobile has great customer service, i almost never drop a call, great devices and they are untouchable on their data and text plans, but i know that no corporate store in my area would match the E715 price i got my phone for, the e715 just came out tmobile offered it for $250 (After rebate) and i got it for $50, no one was willing to drop the...

Umm.. price matching at corporate stores are really on the manager's discretion. 5% of the time we do match indirects if the customer comes in with an ad or something. But it really depends. Also, on the corporate retail level, we also have special deals going on every month dealing with pricing of phones (per the regional manager).

SOME indirects are good, not all. I wouldn't generalize because I can say that not all direct corporate stores are flawless.

Please stop spewing false info if you aren't selling in the corp. retail.

There's nothing wrong with indirects!

JDigital is right. Enough of this indirect dealer bashing. T-Mobile's business is brought in by almost 65% indirects. There may be some bad apples in the bunch, but if not for indirects, T-Mobile would not be nearly as far as we are. Keep fighting the good fight JDigital!

That's an empty question. You might want to explain your needs for cellular service and compare both companies to see which one suits your needs better.

Pros and cons to every company. If any sales rep, tell you they are the best in wireless... 99% of the time they are lying.

I refuse to sell a lie.
