Just wondering if someone can explain what exactly is on the Myfaves phones(software) and is there anyway of buying an unlocked phone that would work with Myfaves? Or able to get the software to put it on yourself?

The MyFaves software on the phones themselves provides an interface that allows the customer to set their Faves and have their choices show up as a ring of icons on the main screen for easy access. It will only pop up on the screen if your plan is MyFaves and your phone has the software.

The software itself, as far as I know, is only available if you purchase a T-Mobile branded MyFaves phone.

Theoretically you could use an unlocked phone on a MyFaves plan. I've seen some reps activate non-MyFaves phones on MyFaves plans, but Customer Care checks to see that your plan and phone are both MyFaves compatible. If your phone is a non-MyFaves phone they will adjust your plan to the non-MyFaves version of the plan.
