GPRS Questions

I have a Laptop and a T-Mobile Motorola V600. I know I can use the V600 as a modem to call my Internet Service Provider (ISP) and only use up my air time but the speed is rather slow (about 10 kbps).

I've been told that to access T-Mobile GPRS network I have to dial *99#. Do I just use air time to use GPRS or do I have to sign up for some data plan? How fast is GPRS? Also, what carrier has the access code of *99***3#.

Thank you very much for any response.

you can add 4.99 T-Zones for basic (web, email) or 19.99 for ISP option (T-Mobile unlmtd)
simply dial *99#, that's it
