as of yesterday cingular notified me, a cing dealer, that due to technogy problems with LG phone using Nortell technologies are no longer to be sold to customers, they wouldnt elaborate on the technical glitches of the problem. Anyone hear of this?

the only thing i have heard about LG and Cingular is the fact that the lg4010 has been backordered, based on it's popularity. That's the only thing i have heard..

I work for cingular corp. and we never even ordered them. There were problems with them the day they came out. Our LG rep refuses to use one! I think LG has some of the worst phones on the market and I'm not sad to see them pull the plug on them.

Are you serious? We've had more problems with Samsung than LG. The LG 4050 has been good to my store. All of our customers who have purchased them love them. So I can't agree with you there.

I'm serious. Everybody has their opinions on phones so that's cool. I sold Verizon and Sprint for 3 years and couldn't stand all but maybe one or two models that came out for them. The 510, 4400, 111, 1010,... all crap if you ask me.

I really like the 4050, customers seem to be taking to them. The 4010 is one of my biggest sellers, but I have had some issues with battery life and signal strength in Allentown area. I think once the V400 launches (since the price point is really good I think), its time to sell off your exsisting inventory and its time for LG to produce a new model. From my understanding, LG re-works there phone line-up every 6 months....

I was in tech support for year and half with Sprint PCS and the LG's we carried were horrible. The 4010 is no better. The 4050 however has gone beyond my expectations and is doing very well for my store in TX. I even sold a few to my relatives because of the response I got from customers who travel all over the US. That goes for now though. As with any phone model though, it may not be the same story 3 months from now.
