I have had my sim card for going on 3 years, do I need a new 64k to pick up at&t towers? will it help with reception, generally I never have a problem but I was wondering what differences I would see with a 64k sim?

I have yet to see proof the new 64k provides better reception than the 32k, or the at&t 32k, in an unlocked phone. the 64k definetley holds more info, but in my field tests for reception, there is absolutely no difference. Cingular sent out memmos to all employees and Dealers stating such, that is why it is quoted as fact. If it is, prove it to me.

The 64k sims made by "gemplus" allow 500 numbers to be stored to the card. Most people don't need that many, but use mine as a phonebook for everything and currently have 364 numbers stored on it (just checked). Maybe your phone limits the sim at 250, or maybe it's a different manuf.(maybe axalto)

The integration in my market (philly) is scheduled to be complete by nov 17th, not sure about the rest of the na...
