I'm pretty excited about this. I live in an area that has a huge white hole for Sprint service. I've put up with it for the past 3 years since I have a 4 line family plan and the others live a few hours away but I've finally had enough.

Anyway, I'm planning on going with the 10GB/month (I think, maybe it was 6 or 8?). And I'm going to tie it to my home U-verse account.

Are there any benefits to getting an AT&T number versus porting over my Sprint number? Other than the obvious everyone still has my number.

How about any other sites/forums for AT&T users? I used to go to but it seems to have closed down or something. I can't post there anymore and hardly anyone posts on it.

This should all be happening in a few months. Pretty excited!

Firstly, I work for ATT so (early) welcome to ATT. Now with the mobile share plans, we do not have an 8gb plan, but we do indeed have the 6 and the 10gb. You will not be able to combine your UV and cell phone bill together because as of 10/30/12 ATT no longer offers combined billing unless you are a business account. As far as the porting goes, there is no advantage of getting an ATT number, so you should probably just port your number over so that everyone still knows your number. I don't know about the ATT forums, I'm sure there are some if you poke around on Google. I'll answer any questions you may have if you want to reply with any.
