So long AT&T

Saying my last goodbye to AT&T. I've been with them for nearly 7 years. Unfortunately I wasn't grandfather in on unlimited data, but everything is an add on to my family plan. My wife & I said see ya switched to sprint not just unlimited plan, just the fact we get 1500 min unlimited text, cell to any carrier rolled into one plan. Not the 1400 min $80, 2 data packs $60, the unlimited text / cell to carrier $30, Here's the kicker, got the iPhone 4s, AT&T stated they were exclusive talk & surf the web, WRONG!!! I can talk & surf the web. Well AT&T offered $30 off for 6 months, when asked why not for a year since I was a long time customer when it was Cingular, that's all we can offer right now, sorry to lose ur business.

As for a CDMA iPhone being able to talk & surf at the same time, we're you on a Wi-Fi network?
And yes, it does feel as though carriers are nickel & diming you to death.

I did the same thing, had unlimited data. And got tired of them slowing down my data, basically making my phone useless. Switched to Sprint, I now save about 30 a month and have great service. Had no issues with at&t, but we shouldn't get penalized, because at&t"s network can't handle us.

See I got lucky and was grandfathered in with unlimited. I had one day of slow down about a month ago, and it really wasn't a big deal since everywhere you go has WiFi these days. I can talk and surf when on wifi or the 3G network so I don't know whats up with your phone.

I really don't think it's about the network. That's what 700mhz LTE is all about, not just speed, but the ability to handle a whole lot more traffic simultaneously.

Verizon doesn't slow peoples speeds down, at least not on 4G LTE smartphones. All of you here know how heavy of a user I am. I don't get slowed down on Verizon.

ATT needs new network managers!

Be careful cause if you ever come back to this forum,
--simply to express an opinion-- you'll be referred to as what corporate cronies call a "troll", rather than just simply being a consumer who has an opinion.

I have been with ATT since long before Cingular. I stopped upgrading for subsidized phones with the 3GS. $299 each sold for $650 each. bought International phones ever since. $10 UL Data share 700 minutes no messaging (we use FB messaging and GoEX free chat. My Note N7000 and her SGS II i9100 cost us less than $100 a month. The savings more than pays for the devices.

Downside is 3MBS download speeds which is fast enough for video streaming. ATT shows a couple of clamshell Nokias on the site even though we gave them actual IMEIs. We can go to Staright talk and get uL everything with these devices for $50 each.
