ATT is breaking my contract and there's nothing I can do about it? Is this fair ?
Now ATT is closing down the system that my phone runs off of by saying my phone won't work on their new system (3G). Well that's a lie because I loaned my phone to my graddaughter to use temporarily when her's broke and she put her 3g card in and it worked and even did an upgrade to my phone, when ATT kept telling "me" there were no upgrades availale.
So now with the forced switch I have to choose a new plan, which will make my new monthly chg is $80 per month for the same amount of minutes. And if I get a smartphone I'm forced to have a data plan.
The cost of Cell phones are getting way out of line. Especially now when the economy is so down. But they don't care. Just rake in the money.
They broke their part of the contract. I couldn't do that without a penalty. I am thinking of going to T-Mobile as their rates are quite a bit lower and if this merger goes through then I'll be back and able to call my kids and grandkids on ATT free again.
I wish our government wasn't so crooked and did the right things that benefit the little guy and not the big guys. I'm going my best to write those in control of the merger to stop it and hopefully start to regulate the cell carriers.
