TMO pumps out more smartphones while ATT still relies on iPhone

This is kind of a good article. TMO has over the last few years been pumping out new and HSPA + capable smartphones while ATT has been giving us more crap (HTC Status) and continually relying on the iPhone.
Will the bigger choice of devices disappear if the ATT/TMO merger is approved?
