Additional discount removed?

I was just curious to know if anybody had an additional discount offer that was removed without notification. For example, I had a line that was eligible for an upgrade with an additional $50 discount and a waived upgrade fee. The reason I ask, is because I was waiting to use my additional discount on the Galaxy S 2, but it was removed without notice. At&t is usually good at either notifying you that they are about to remove something, or grandfathering it. I am well aware that they are no longer giving the additional discounts, but again, I think it's strange that they wouldn't notify me, or allow me to keep the discount until I upgrade. Thanks.
