Re: better phone??

It depends on a few things. The Inspire and iPhone 4 each have some things going for them. Let's look at the pros and cons.

iPhone 4:
-Forward facing camera/Facetime: Is it a pro? It's a nifty feature to have, if mostly for self-photos. Video chatting is still new and dubious at best, esp. since for good quality you need to be on Wi-Fi (which is why Apple restricts it to Wi-Fi, that and the AT&T network not being really geared toward it).

-Higher resolution screen: Coupled with a smaller screen makes it an altogether more crisp display, but the Inspire's screen is pretty nice too.

-iOS: is this a pro? It can be if you prefer the iOS interface to Android. This is totally up to personal preference.

-Smaller: speaks for itself

-Hype: Wait, that's a con...

Inspire:

-4G! Which with AT&T may not mean much. I have a friend who has the Inspire in a "4G" area in Orlando, FL. They said we have 4G in the store plus it says it picks up the signal. Runs circles around my iPhone, though it never gets 5 bars. Also, it's not an LTE phone, just HSPA+. And you'll never know if you have that in your area until you get the phone, or ask a store.

-Bigger. Is it better? Depends on what you prefer.

-Android. Again, your preference.

-Camera: definitely better, 8 MP versus 5 MP, and the flash is like the finger of God (built-in flashlight app!). No forward-facing camera though.

-FM radio: nifty feature if you don't want to use streaming audio and hog up your data but still want some more music.

-Expandable memory: something the iPhone lacks cuz Apple wants to freaking charge people $100 for 16 GB of extra storage. Bastards. Anyways, the Inspire comes with an 8 GB card standard, plus 4 GB built-in if memory serves.

-PRICE: $99.99 versus $199 for a new iPhone 4 16 GB. Granted, these are prices for buying direct from AT&T, but still.

- YOU CAN GET AFFORDABLE INSURANCE ON IT. $4.99 from AT&T versus $10+ from the Mobile Protect app.

That's just me posting late at night with a quick analysis. I'm sure someone will come and correct me about something or another. That's my take. I'd honestly go with neither. Get the 3GS, it's cheaper and pretty much as good Very Happy
