My cousin dropped his iphone in water. Isn't there a spray that one can spray on it.

have him to take the battery out and put the entire phone in a bag of DRY white rice. It should help dry it out quickly. As long as it is not something like soda or something else it should be ok.

Sometimes using a hair dryer also helps. Give it at least 24 hours to dry out before turning it on to test it.

I've seen melted solder and circuit boards from people thinking they can apply higher temperatures for faster drying.

Swollen batteries ALWAYS scare me. All I can imagine is the thing popping in my hand. Does that actually happen though?

Anything CAN happen. just very unlikely. Apple had a batch of iPods a few years back where the batteries exploded. The Japanese government forced them into a recall and replace scenario if I remember right.

Some of these remedies may work if it was just a quick dip, not really immersed. However, water and electronics are not compatible - device could be fried and nothing will help then.
