At&t Cuss...tomer (Who) Care Dept.

😲 After all the post I've made about At&t and their shady business practices, it seems to be spreading to their customer service! Recently, the CEO of At&t was caught getting a lil "spicy" with a customer a week ago, which is NO surprise to me at all! I've known a long time ago that At&t were nothing more than a bunch of CROOKS hiding behind the At&t brand name! It seems that At&t service is no better than the customer service of Cricket wireless, they just have the At&t logo that people seem to believe in, that gets them over! At&t puts agents on the phone with little to no information. The phone lists given to employees aren't up to date, so customers get transferred to disconnected / phone sex numbers. Oh, and don't think of buying...

The CEO cursed at a customer? With accusations like that I would wanna see a link to that report.

Hmmm actually it wasn't the CEO - if you are talking about the incident that was on the news. It was a normal rep in ATTs "office of the president" department - which is to say thy were just a standard customer service rep in a group assigned to handle executive complaints. Also, I don't think it was reported anywhere that the customer was cursed out, so please get your facts straight before posting (or maybe you just enjoy appearing ignorant)

🙄 The LATTER! Appearing ignorant means nothing to me....... Especially KNOWING looks can be deceiving! 😉 Next time, if you feel something is ignorant and not true, you should learn to ignore stupidity, or it'll rub off on YOU! OOPS..........TOO LATE! 😁

Huh? Seriously? Posts/users like this are the exact reason why I stopped coming to the forum - was hoping some time away would have allowed the trolls/idiots to leave, but apparently has just given them time to multiply.

of course this is an unfortuante incident, however it actually happened. but one must remember that this was just one representative of the company in an area for escalated calls. there are several people just like that, but for every one of them there hundreds that do care and do their work with integrity. i am an agent that has to call in daily and get the company to give sometimes hundreds of dollars back to customers who deserve it. and i am calling into the same phone number that you do. the rules for getting things done are simple:

always be nice

reasonably ask for what you want, knowing that it may be impossible or a compromise necessary.

if you are told no, appeal to logic and explain why you are making your request.

I've been with T-Mobile since Oct. 2004 and have had small problems with the service here and there.
Last month, I went online and deleted their T-zones pkg off of my phone lines since it was like $5 a month per line and we didn't use it.

Well, looking at my phone bill today, I noticed that I had a "usage charge" of like $16. I looked into it further and saw that I was being charged for the text msg, which I had a 400 msg plan for $5 a month... or so I thought.

So I called customer service and was spoken to very rudely. They insisted that I removed the text ...

This one is long but a classic!

At around the time of November 6 my husband and I decided it was time to make a change with our phone service. At the time we were using the local cable company and facing rises in fee's annualy. This year when our contract came up we decided to make a change. Our friends at work were using cell phones for all their phone needs and also had the ability to do their banking and to check their e-mail through their phones. This was an attractive option for us especially if it was going to save us money. So we started shopping for phones.

Thank you for posting these. I'm so sick and tired of reading about some customer's horror story and that person basically using it to spam the forum with "don't buy from carrier x, they're all a bunch of incompetent crooks." Please people; get a life!
