Top message: To those anticipating the 4G iPhone by Amarantamin
Replying to: I'm sure most people know that,. . .ATT doesn't even have LTE 4G in their sights by Jayshmay
1) iPhone... thru 2012 (if original contract holds)
2) Old people, basic phones. Fast data? What's that sunny? HUH?
3) families that are more than happy with $10 data on mid-range phones (4 phones with $10 data... is alot better than 4 phones with $30 data.) Don't need speed on an Impression or a Neon.
I don't doubt they will lose customers... but I think they are safe where they are at, atleast for a short time.
LTE isn't even finalized as a spec yet... WiMax is just getting started. It'll take a few years for either to have a footprint large enough to scare AT&T.
