Any time you want to cancel you're transfered to the "cancellation department". At least if you call customer care. They should probably be called the retention department though, not cancellations. If you're trying to get some special rate by threatening to leave, I don't think they do that so much. ATT isn't hurting for customers so much after all.

at&t does have a "Saves Team". I have a few freinds that work for the Saves Team for at&t. As for phone issues, the best resource is actually the manufacture themselves. at&t does not manufacture their phones. at&t is only responsible for the network. Samsung Customer Service is 888-987-4357 (M-F 8a - 7p CST/Sat&Sun 9a - 6p CST) I hope this helps. 🙂

Walk into a COR store or authorized retailer and ask for an exception upgrade. Think of it as an emergency upgade. Basically, if you have had your current contract for six months, (or one year if your last upgrade was an exception) and you havent had any disconnects, ATT will give you most rebates with a two year agreement. You will normally pay 50 to 75 dollars more than if you were elligible for a standard upgrade.

I work for retentions/cancellations. They're really the same group. Do you have a FAN discount on your account or not? That will determine where you'll be going. If it's Business end, they do things a bit differently than non business but there is no tenure requirement to speak with anyone in the company. You've only got to be in contract for 6+ months for exception upgrades through any dept.

Good luck with business care. They hang up on you if they are having "System issues" which is BS! I was hung up on 9 times today trying to help someone who had a question about their discount on their bill and I am in consumer care. They took away our ability to view what kind of discount the customer gets. ☹️

Well I don't know why they are doing that to you. Well try turning off your phone and removing the battery and leave it out for like a minute or so. Then put it back together and see if that works? Hope this helps, if not let me know what kind of model of phone you have and I'll check to see what I can do.

Have you tried warranty exchage through at&t? As long as the device is less thatn a year old, they will swap it for free. 800.801.1101.

Or, if your phone is older than a year old, hopefully you did get phone insurance, and will replace your phone when it is outside the 1 year warranty.

There is always an early exception upgrade...

In answer to your question vampyra, yes AT&T has a quote unquote retentions department and if you want to be transferred to them, request the "Customer Relations" department. They are the ones that typically handle cancellation and retention requests when a customer is upset or wants to cancel. This isn't to say that just because you play upset that they're going to give you want, it has to be a legitimate problem but they are the ones that can resolve your issue if no one else can. You could also request an ICU case. The ICU department is another group that handles special cases with problematic accounts.
