I've been ATT since 2004 so I'm considered an ATT Blue customer. My plan is too good to give up. I need to get a new phone. Anyone know anything about these two phones. 1] The Voyager and 2] T3232. They are from China manufacturers. I came across then when searching the web. Says it works with GSM networks. Any help is appreciated.

I wouldn't waste your money on a no name chinese manufacturer. I would buy something namebrand from a well known manufacturer from www.plemix.com or www.mobilecityonline.com
Whats your current plan/price if you don't mind me asking??

Thank You for your help & advice.
I pay $43.00 per month total for 1000 minutes, free M-M and Nights and Weekends, and have a 2nd phone number (before they put a name on it,family plans). I'm considered an AT&T Blue customer. I keep my eye on their plans just in case they have something as good. I'm not a text-er or sending photos etc. I tell the Grandkids, no text, no photos. So we just use the cell phone for convenience & security when we're in the car away from home. Same for my Son's phone.
I usually either get the hand me down's from the daughters when they get a new phone or buy on e-bay or ?. I just wanted a smart phone so I could have a Tele-Address book and Calendar to keep track of appointments. Wifi would be nice when I'm...

The unlocked chinese phones can be really cool, I have had a lot of customers that love them, the thing you might have trouble with is getting tech support with at&t because they're stiflers about that stuff but your plan is too good to switch I would make sure you can find support for the phone you choose.

I just want to give you a quick warning about your purchase of an unlocked smartphone. ATT has the ability to see what the IMEI is in the phone that you are using. If you are using a phone that ATT qualifies as a smartphone, the $30 data plan will be added to your account on that phone. If you had that phone on your account before Sept. 8th, 2009, you would be exempt from this, but any smartphone turned on after that date has to have the data package added on. And if the customer does not add it on his own, it will still be added automatically.

Lies, lies, and more lies. They can can only tell what phone you are using, if it was a phone with their branding to begin with. I use never locked or branded, Nokia phone and they can not tell what I am using. I was talking to them about this not long ago and they were telling me the same lies, so I told them, as I was talking to them on my Nokia smart phone to go ahead and look and tell me what phone I was using and guess what? they could not. They told my that if it was not a phone that was AT&T branded they could not tell. But they could tell if I was using say a BB Bold even if it was unlocked but the phone I was using I would have to tell them what it was. I thought why in the hell would I do that? I dont want to pay for a $30 data pla...

when they use snooper they can see the type not the make unless it is FCC approved which some unlocked ones are not. your e72 is in ATT system and the rep was not able to see it because it might not have been a widespread phone. you might have gotten out of it but the e72 customer who came in a week or so ago was billed the $30. also depends on your market. if your market was upgraded with the new billing system then you will be billed for it as soon as they recognize it.

Thank you bwag, I was going to defend myself and say the same thing. I have had several customers come in upset because the data package has been added to their account automatically. That is why I gave Bubey the warning. And yes, I have seen e71 and e72s get charged.

i just don't want someone that doesn't know everything advise someone the wrong thing and then they get charged and blame ATT for ruining their life.
