I am not here to write bad things about AT&T and hope not to get s**t thrown back at me so here goes. I have been with VZW for the last several years and there are several things I dont get.

Before ATT merged with Cingulair; I was a happy customer for 3 years. Really never had any problems. Phone always worked when I needed it to work. I went to VZW because my gfriend had VZW and didnt want to use my mins. Then I became an employee and the rest is pretty much history.

We have meetings and our boss spends most of the meeting talking down about the Iphone since apparently VZW actually bought Iphones for them so they can compare the 2 services. Which I think is kind of funny since we are actually supporting our competitor.

if the iphone were the greatest phone ever created or not. The bottom line is that the phone enjoys tremendous popularity and people want it. Third quarter 2009 3.2 million iphone adds out of 4.3 million total adds. What's not to envy? Seriously. Verizon's 5MB cap is on data cards not smartphones just like all the other major carriers. My mother, grandfather, and my twelve year old brother all use one and have no problem using it. I never received a text for 6 years from my mother, and now she texts me constantly. Is the iPhone as complex or adaptable as the android? No, but that is not what is intended to do. Just appreciate everything for what it is. The iPhone is an amazing device that has broken new ground in the smart phone market. Will it be the next best phone? who knows...

As you said before, you had ATT/Cingular and had no problems with the network. No one was really talking about poor network before the i-phone. The i-phone has a terrible radio in it and because it is so popular, lots of people are dropping calls, the same way I did when I went from my 8310 to the i-phone. In 8 months, I might have dropped 2 calls with the the blackberry but with the i-phone, I would drop 3 a day.
