Quick Cingular VM question...

Just swithced two lines from T-Mobile to Cingular and having issues. I will post the full expereince on another post, but had a quick question for Congular people.

On both lines we cannot access our VM to listen to messages we have received. The passwords are not working, even the original default passowrd was not working. Anyone have a suggestion as to what I cna tell Cingular Tech Support next time I speak with them. After spening over 2 hours on the phone, they said they would have to find someone highe rup to help troubleshoot the problem. Any info you might have woudl be appreciated.

Ok, here's a couple possible ideas of mine for this issue...1. does holding down the number "1" button call your voicemail? if so, the first time you call it, you should be able set your password and setup the VM the way you want. If that doesn't work (the Voice Mail number isn't stored in the SIM)...call 1-704-451-8989 FROM YOUR CELL PHONE. This is the number my phone calls to check its voicemail, it should recognize your number, and offer you the 1st time setup options (or at least let you into voicemail without the password, maybe allowing you to change it if you've already entered a password before). Again, just my thoughts. I wasn't sure if you'd set up VM prior to the problems, if so, then it sounds like another problem than the one I'...
