I have a question..my eternity is screwing up bad. It freezes, random screens will pop up without me pressing them, and it will ring static sometimes. The screen has scratches from my nails on the screen, nothing major they look like just surface scratches..no water damage though..will the scratches void the warranty? Also, I've heard that the eternity has been discontinued, if I do an exchange will they send me the same phone, or a diff model? Oh- and I also have the insurance, so if I cant do an exchange I can do insurance, but same question, will I get the same phone?

Do the warranty process, if they determine it was customer abuse it should automatically go through insurance and drop the equipment charge to the deductible rate. You will get an Eternity if it's in stock and if not probably either a Vu or a Solstice.

call customer service first. if you go through warranty and it is out of warranty by damage, then you are charged a large amount for the phone, not the insurance deductible. It would be a charge of at least $100 or more.

Uh yeah don't listen to hombre there. If you do a warranty replacement and they flag it as physical damage that has nothing to do with the insurance whatsoever and you will be charged the out of warranty fee.

They will nt do a warr exchange if the phone has phys dmg.
To determine if those scratches are "bad" can you feel them with the pad of your finger or if you run your nail across them does your nail fall into the scratch? The warr exchange rep will ask you questions to determine if it's physically dmg'd. Any rep worth their salt if they felt it was dmg'd would encourage you to file an insurance claim.
