Replying to:  Pay Per Use (PPU) data rates by YepYepYep   Jul 2, 2009, 11:34 PM

Re: Further Clarification

Thanks all for your feedback.

I have a PDA phone (Samsung Epix) so the MediaNet plan is not an option, at least according to at&t.

Besides, DATA is DATA!! It doesn't matter what terminal device I have. If I use enough data then a plan makes sense, regardless of what kind of data it is. Since I don't use email or apps for my PDA phones then I am penalized for having one.

What if your home ISP charged you separate rates depending on what you were using your internet connection for? Would you like that?

There should be an option for Windows Mobile devices for cheaper PPU data. I mainly have it for syncing with my desktop Outlook. I guess I am a minority customer in this situation.

But I do think it would open up more customers to access small amounts of data if the PPU rates were cheaper. Then at least at&t would make some more money to support their data network and equipment.
