Corporate Discount with iPhone?
Iphone 3G and 3GS: You get discount
So you are ok.
You get the 25% off your rate plan and off the iphone data plan ($30).
You will pay $22.50 for that data plan.
I recently called ATT customer service and was transfered to business care (I noticed the reps in this department are not as friendly?) I called to ask if the discount had started. The rep had me confirm I was using the iphone (which is listed as the primary number). She then told me I would not be getting this discount because the primary number must be my mothers in order to get the full discount. Also that iphones do not qualify for the discount anyway.
Is this all true? It sounds silly to me that my mom would have to actually be using the phone listed as the primary when s...

1. Do iphones qualify for employee discounts? I originally was told we WOULD get a discount which is why we switched in the first place. Otherwise we would have saved our $18 (or so) for each line on our account to go through assumption of liability. Which cost us around $90. The last person I spoke to about this was an AT&T rep from business care who had told me if an iphone is primary, you do not get a discount.
1. Regardless of the type of phone I have as primary, must the account holder (who gets the discount) use the primary number as their own order to receive the discount?
Whomeever qualifies for the discount would need to be both the account holder and the primary number. If this is your mother then yes you would need to change her to primary.
as long as its in the persons name that is capable of getting the discount u should be fine ... if u log online look at the top right side of the screen u will see the FAN# that will clarify its active
as for the data plan being discounted when i worked for att last year there was only a discount on phone plan NOTHING ELSE!
so unless its changed since august last year then u only get it on the plan ...
as for the customer service over the phone..... i hate to say it but MOST of them aren't educated on the discounts for some reason they just read a script that is completely outdated and non informative .... go to the store and ask a rep th...
