update roaming?

I'm new to att from verizon. With verizon about once a month I would press *228 and update my roaming capabilities. Do I need to do that with att? How do I do that with att if I need too?

Thanks

No, With ATT, updates are sent automatically to the phone each time it connects to the network. It is a good idea to turn your phone off for a few seconds 2 or 3 times a week to receive your updates.

So is it just an Urban Legend that you are supposed to pull the battery out while the phone is on, pull the SIM card, and stare at everything for about a minute before you put it back together and turn it back on to achieve updates?

No, a hard reset is not necessary for this specific problem. It does help though, 9/10 problems are solved by it.

Thanks. I shut my phone off every night anyway when I go to bed, and I have been doing the hard reset about once a month when I rotate batteries.

I would take a pay cut to have more customers like you.

You should not take a pay cut if you want customers like me. I use a 2004 Motorola V557, and my wife has a 2003 Nokia 6010. No text, no Media, no internet, we just use our phomes as....(gasp) phones!!!

I would take a pay cut to sell phones and not features.

That is ridiculous what is a phone without features. The reason phones do so many things is because people want them too. Yes everybody gets the absurd customers who want the free phones no contracts and unlimited everything for 10$ a month but most people who buy the feature rich phones want their phone to do everything these phones can do. You obviously just don't know how to sell the features or feel like taking the time to show them how to use them. Which is the mark of a bad salesperson not a customer.
