I've been waiting to hear the answer to that one for months myself.

Looks like a fantastic phone... Never tried a Nokia web browser before (I'm use to a windows type browser.) The one thing that scares me is the Li-polymer battery... I normally charge my phone overnight as I sleep, once it reaches full charge it begins to lose battery if you continue to charge it and being that I'm sleeping I'll pretty much start the day with less battery... Is that correct?

I hope that ATT does release this phone very soon, as it has been out for a while now. I actually think that if ATT narrowed their focus a little and actually offered some Nokia smartphones, there would be a fair share of market here for them... I mean for those who were Nokia fanboys who were disgruntled by ATT's choice to not offer the N95 on contract, what do you expect? I really just think that that phone was a little overcooked and premature for the American market at its release, although I've heard people rave about it. However, (!) I feel like this upcoming generation of Nokias are in much more of an American flavor. I think if ATT would launch the Nokia E71, then possibly they could continue with the E55 (suretype smartphone), E...

AT&T has made it very, very clear they have no intentions of offering the best that Nokia has to offer. Watch, January 2011 will come and they still won't offer the N97-NAM.

I've owned the Nokia N95-3 for 15 months now, I love this handset! Camera's great, it's almost March 2009 and AT&T is still !!ABSENT!! from the high-end cameraphone market, mp3 player is great on this phone, stereo speakers, FM radio, and a real headphone jack.

For people like myself who desire a true high-end handset, with no sacrifice of features the N95-3 is definetly the best option.

Dear AT&T, Please don't ever offer any Nokia N or E series phones. I prefer to buy my own unlocked.

Yeah, I've owned my N95-3 now for 16 months.

I look forward to the 3rd Qtr to find out the final specs for the N97, rather than the current speculative specs.

I hope Nokia puts a 1GHZ processor in the N97, and 7.2 HSPA! ! ! I don't know how I feel about a touch screen phone though, I don't want my screen to have finger prints and oils and so on.

I'm looking forward to a qwerty combined with a large touch display, seems best of both worlds to me. Just hope Nokia releases it in tri-band hspda from the get go.

I'd be absolutly shocked if the N97 has tri-band HSPA. I like an NSeries that has a touch screen, I just don't want my screen to be all dirty with fingerprints.

I wonder how much longer before we'll know the final specs. Probably won't be at least another 4 months.

But I'm guessing the North American N97 won't even be out til December at the earliest.

The vast majority of consumers don't really care. They just want something cheap. Those who demand it(like you) know where to get it. If there really was that high of a demand for high end camera phones, then I'm sure at&t would jump for it.

Kinda hard to gage how much demand there is for something when ATT doesn't have any high end feature packed multimedia handsets.

Tmo has the Samsung Memoir, that has a 5mp camera and it seems to be popular.

so the iphone and blackberry bold aren't high end? they may not have 5+ mp cameras but for all other multimedia they blow your n95 out of the water.

That is true in most respects. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a Nokia smartphone nor would I buy one unless it was carrier subsidized but here is my take on it. The iPhone of course blows the N97 out of the water with music and video in that it has the ubiquitous iTunes and iTunes store (which is available on both desktop and over 3g and wifi networks on the phone) with infinite amounts of music (DRM-free), video, podcasts, etc. On top of that, the iPhone is essentially a widescreen video iPod, with all the functionality of, and the name of, iPod. The flash-less 2mp camera, however, pales in comparison. The Blackberry Bold shows evidence that RIM has come to the market quickly with multimedia and has gotten it right. The screen is am...

Hmm, how & where do I buy a high end Nokia's at a huge discount as you say???

Because I highly doubt that when the N97-NAM comes out that it will retail below
$695 + shipping.

So I would very, very much like to know where & how high-end Nokia's can be bought at as you say "huge discount"

Rain really messed up my
N95-3 recently and now it can't read my 8GB memory card, so I can't listen to any of the 1600+ songs on my memory card, so I bought a brand new N95-3, on ebay for $317. Do you know a way to get a new N95-3 for less than the $317 that I paid???
