Blackberry 4.5os
I think this is the newest and official update to os 4.5 for blackberries.
WTF!!!
Things I noticed:
Improved look to the address book.
Improved browser, but still not a full HTML browser. Good to have Opera Mini for when you need it.
Video recorder. Yes I can make videos finally.
Voice recorder. Nifty, but not something I use.
Video streaming. It's true, a non 3G Curve is capable of watching YouTube. Sadly, the first thing I watched on it was Charlie the Unicorn. My friends are evil.
Any other changes have not affected my use of the phone, good or bad. My GPS still works just fine. Data seems about the same. BIS e-mail push still functions as it did. I don't have to reboot it ...

HA! I was looking for that this morning... Thanks!!!
I'll check it out tomorrow. Funny that I've checked every day but today.
go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader and delete the vendor.xml file.
connect to computer and launch desktop manager and make sure the desktop manager is v4.5 and you can get that from blackberry.
it should prompt you to update...
these sites have curve and pearl versions of 4.5, just go and click the drop down box to your phone model.

I have it on mine already. Its a little glitchy though. For instance, unlike some it does allow my telenav to work. However, I can't send outgoing emails. I've configured the service and receive emails just fine, but for some reason it won't let me reply. I figured the At&t 4.5 would solve that.
are you using bis or bes? also, i use gmail and got tired of the sent crap getting sent to my inbox. if your email provider allows forwards set up an @blackberry.att.net account and have your email forwarded there and then under the blackberry settings set it to send the reply from your address and no one will know you aren't sending from you email address...
They released it for the 8820 and 8320. I'm not sure if the 8320 will work on the 8310 or 8300... The rest should hopefully follow soon!

that link will not work with at&t phones. that's for sprint... you'd need a gsm carrier to use for v4.5
Select AT&T from the list at the lower half of the page. Models 8320 and 8820 both currently offer the 4.5.0.110. Others still list 4.2 & 4.3.
AT&T offers the 8120 and the 8820, but no the 8320. That is currently only offered by T-Mobile.

This is the launch info for it on AT&T. We got dummy phones and information it was going to be launched on AT&T. I'm probably wrong, but I was under the assumption that my Indirect Channel wasn't going to carry it.
or will it just upgrade and keep everything the same as it is now?
sorry, this is my first blackberry device
