Although I normally am pretty up to date with information in the mobile realm, I've come across a situation that has brought up a few questions where I'm not really finding any definitive answers. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Scenario: I purchased an iPhone in December of '07, and as a result extended my contract two years from it's original signing (to December 5th, 2009). I am currently eligible for a subsidized upgrade. Now I am looking into getting a new phone (with a physical QWERTY) and the BB Bold is the only true contender that I have been looking into. 1. Your contract would end Nov 4th 2010
2. You might not qualify for the $100 mail in rebate if you don't sign up for the $30 a month BIS plan. So you might as well sign up for it and if you don't like the blackberry than you can take the internet off.
3. Yes.

Everything Sigma said is correct. However,I just want to expand on one little thing and that has to do with a combination of questions 2 and 3. If you decided not to take out the BB plan, you will want to at least take out the pay per use Media Net. Otherwise, you will not be able to send or receive MMS messages or instant messaging.

I now have one more question in reference to the PPU Media Net. As long as I add that feature (initially) will it actually cost me KB usage to send MMS messages? Or is it just necessary to activate the capability?

I have a feeling I'm just going to end up adding the Blackberry Service anyway...
