I was just wondering if anyone has tried to use the Lg Voyager (unlocked of course) with At&t as the carrier? Because i really love the voyager but i cant switch to verizon.

No one has tried it because the voyager is 100% incompatible with the AT&T network. You can only use a phone with GSM technology on the AT&T network and the voyager is cdma. Kinda sucks because it looks like a cool phone 😕

oh ok thank you so much that saved me lots of money because i was willing to try. Would u happen to know if at&t will be coming out with a phone comparable to the voyager? i really like the way it flips open i dont really like slider phones.

LG Vu - it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard but it pretty much has the same concept as the Voyager.

No. It doesn't have a physical qwerty keyboard. Not the same concept. The vu is more of a prada/iphone concept.

Maybe Cosmo, I know it is 150% ridiculous how at&t has nothing that is a non pda phone that has a full qwerty keyboard on it. We need something compareable to the voyager/instinct/enV/sidekick...etc. Its ridiculous

3G iPhone will solve your dilemma. You get used to typing on the keyboard, it just takes a few weeks to get used to. Plus, I would rather carry an Apple product, than some crappy LG cheaply manufactured one.

What about a phone that doesn't require a data package, that isn't a pda phone, that has a full physical qwerty keyboard. Thats what we are advocating for. Something that every other carrier seems to offer but us.

Then I guess that phone isn't a big enough deal for you to switch. Shoot if I had unlimited everything for free, I wouldn't care what type of phone I had ...

Actually ATT does have a full qwerty non pda phone. It's called the LG Vu. When you're in a text message you hit the keyboard button and voila a full touch qwerty keypad and no pda.

Voyager in no way will be able to work on AT&T. It's not that great of a phone anyway.
I just moved over to AT&T from Verizon and I at one time ownded a Voyager, It made your typical good Verizon phone call. The browser was pathetically slow and poor. The camera was ok..
BUT you have your usual Verizon complaints like the retarded bluetooth function and all the restrictions on sounds and videos. That phone is good for a teen kid that you trust not to break the touch screen which I got annoyed with quickly.
It would be nice if AT&T came out with a full keyboard texting machine but there are no complaints here that there aren't any!
