I predict 2008-2009 to be a majior year in the wireless industry.

Ive worked in cellular sales for 2.5 years for verizon and cingular/att, and I see it changing very rapidly.

Mobile applications make everyones life easier, plain and simple.

we don't mind the $500 phones always, my problem is the carriers. right now, my daughter is using her new i-phone and I am sitting here white knucked wondering if I am goint to get a billion dollar bill from att, so hearing all these changes, don't mke me very comfortable. many changes, aren't always for the good of the customer as they usually claim. I myself going broke just trying to make phone calls.

I totally Concur with the fact that Nokia is the best they have been the largest cellular manufacturing companies for years; and not to mention the company itself has stood the test of Time they were founded in 1898. We all remember back to the TDMA days where just about everyone had the Nokia 5165 or some variation of it. That is when they began to boom in the US however sales dropped off after that and European sales kept right on booming.

The best OS today has to be Series 60 1st 2nd and 3rd edition of Symbian OS. I can tell you 3 sites alone that you can get over 39,000 apps for your phone. I probably sold 2 of them during its selling life. It is big, flimsy, has poor battery life, and a slow GUI.

I know somoene who has the N75, and he hasn't complained about it yet.

I mean the screen is very large and thing and doesn't feel very solid. If you are investing in an N series you would be better off going with one of the newer models.

It's a great all-in-one device, I've only had it for a month. And I didn't pay $700, nor would I, I paid $572 including shipping, and it works just fine on AT&T's 3G network too.

I have a 4GB microsd card in there, and I currently have about 572 songs on it. It sure is nice not having some stupid contract, I don't believe in having a contract with a business, only with a woman, contracts and marriage are the same thing!!!

I paid $480 for my N82 With the Garmin XT.

I did not want a slider or 3G since 3G is weak here in SC. Edge is fast enough for most my needs and the WiFi is faster yet.

I paid nearly $100 more for my N95-3!!! I paid $572 including shipping. Still better than what it's going for on ebay though, most sellers are selling it for frinkin $630, screw that, that's too, too much!!! And Nokia themselves are even charging more, I think $699!!!

I bought it from a seller on HowardForums. He had it three weeks and wanted the 3G thus an N95. NO warranty but I have never had any warranty on Nokia European phones. Never needed one. LOL

Well, it's good to know that Nokia makes such a reliable product that your comfortable w/o a warranty.

I am very, very curious what Nokia intends to follow up on the N95 with, I really am.

But then again things are becoming extremely competitive in the wireless industry, with Google entering with it's very, very innovative Android OS. I am very happy with the N95, but we'll have to wait and see what else happens in the neXt 18-24mo.'s.

I am VERY interested in Google's Phone and service. I cannot imagine having a better phone then the n82 right now for my needs. Which is a good thing since I paid nearly $500 for it.
