at&t/bellsouth merged to provide even deeper discounts and better bundle service offerings. This will lead 2 some new options open 2 consumers who have at&t services. With at&t controling about 1/3 of the nations landlines and about 60 million cell phones look 4 them to attack Verizon wireless with some new offers. The year 2007 will be an interesting year with Verizon wireless continuing to be the industry leader in churn and adding new customers. Then Cingular adding more total cusotmers and continuing to improve the overall satisfaction of it's customers.

But the whole renaming thing is going to f*** cingular/at&t for a while till people are done being confused. (And with the customers I've had today, that may never happen) but outlook looks good and I can't wait to sell other things in my store other than Cell Service!

Yea I agree with you. I think new plans (besides the att Unity plans) will show up by the summer time...

I'd love to dump comcast and get my cell and dsl, cable all on one bill. (hopfully with a discount since I work for Cingular/Att)

I would say it is more likely to be getting new feature packaging to compete with the competion. The current voiceplans are competative and seam to do well. It would be nice if at&t comes through a little better for us on negotiating phone cost with manufactures allowing us to bring down our horrendous in store prices.

I doubt phone prices will come down anytime soon.

I would think att wouldn't mind taking a hit on voice (by increasing minutes) and keeping features the same.

The voice service is a staple of cellular, features is where the industry is moving. I don't see features changing anytime soon.

I don't think they'll drop the prices, but I can see them increasing the daytime minutes by 100 minutes...

I just wish they would lighten up with either Data or text.. they can't stay so pricey forever.. If I didn't get to expense half of my bill I would be incensed about thier prices..

I doubt data will change anytime soon. I doubt we'll see anything over 3000 msgs anytime soon either...

What I'd like to see if family packages for media bundles or even text alone. It'd do a world of good to get parents used to text messaging and may even lead to higher text plans in the future when more people are using it. It would open up a whole new demographic of customers.
