i usually have reliable service w/ cingular, but lately this week and last weekend, i have been trying to make outgoing calls and i either a message pops up on my phone that says, "network failure" or i hear an automated voice that says, "all circuits are busy, please call again later" i think its self-explanatory but what is really going on, this happens after 3 o'clock pm and sometimes last to 6 at night, this has never happened to me before and i need to call people around that time and i cant get throught, which i consider a safety issue. can anyone explain this,

i am not a troll or not trying to down cingular, if there is anything i can do please help me, the only thing i can do is txt or receive incomming calls and im sometimes luc...

I worked for Cingular for about 3 years up until this past June, and I tell ya I knew jack squat about technical issues for those three years (basically because the procedures always seemed to change every day). One thing I did was learn what could be the stupidest thing you could think of, which seemed to work almost 99% of the time - and a majority of people NEVER seem to try this (including myself).

Try turning the phone off and back on. As to why this works, I have no clue (I'll let a tech or even a more experienced rep answer that one).

Also, it could be the time of day (after work, before work, and during lunch hours) are the most network congested times of day. Even though you state you've never had these problems prior to th...

Apparently busy circuits are a widespread problem with cingular hopefully they will secure their network up better.

Cingular

How Good

Middling to low levels of consumer satisfaction. Static and busy circuits where widespread problems as they have been in our previous surveys. Relatively low marks for helpfulness in handling customer questions and complaints.

What city are you using your phone in? If the 2G networks are overloaded, try using a 3G phone. Unlike Verizon and Sprint, Cingular uses 3G for voice as well as data.

There may be a ton of people on the GSM network but there probably is no one on the UMTS network!

i live in the motor city(Metro Detroit area, in michigan), the 2g network may be crammed and im savin up for a 3g phone now so i cant wait. and im tryna hurry because its not that many people using HSDPA/UMTS so that means i have a large bandwith to work with before more and more people start using 3G. i only seen a few pple w/ a Cingy 3g phone, and a LOT of people use cingular in my area.

All circuits are busy has something to do with the landline and how the calls are routed, not with the celllines. More people are on the phone at that time and also the landline could have damage and they are working on it.
