Nokia E62 Problems
I have had my Nokia E62 since first part of October. I am within the last 3 weeks been getting an error stating Smartchip Not Available. Just randomly does it, sometimes 10 times a day sometimes 1.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Alos, I am having a lot of problems with my signal going up and down all the time and it will be sitting in one spot.

get a new sim if it keeps happening do a warranty replacement on the device. as far as the reception going up and down i had the same thing happen with mine. but are you dropping calls?

the signal was all over the place sometimes..

It's most likely your sim card. Go into a Cingular retail store and they will supply you with a new 3G sim at no charge as long as you have not had a replacement sim in the past.

Yes I was getting dropped called. Would say connection error and then screen would go blank. I received my new phone via warranty exchange. The phone is 100 times faster, quality is better and reception is consistent. So, I figure since I had one of the first ones, the updates have fixed the problems.

get a sim thats numbers start with 89014104, and NOT 89014103 those ones have been causing phones alot of problems like yours.
