When I call my friend who has edge wireless(its a divison of cingular wirless who resides in Northern california) we can talk for a few mins and then I get a bussy signal then I hear dead air and the call is basically dropped. I want to know whats the deal because it only happens when I call her and no one else.

well..could be something on EDGE Wireless. MVNO's typically don't gain access to the whole network, but only parts of it.
Cingular seems to have a good network in Cali, I'd suggest hinting her going onto Cingy proper..that most likely would fix it..and then you can also talk to her for free..hehe..and vice versa.
