Background noise driving me crazy

I'm about to back out of my 30 day trial because of excessive background noise. Every time I call someone they say that there is a fair amount of background noise even in quiet environments. When driving it's ridiculous. I have a w810i. I noticed the same thing with my wife and her phone (a 6030). I made tons of test calls from my cingular phone to my sprint phone and back. and have called many people and asked them to tell me if there is any background noise. It seems that all the time there is a lot. I figured it had to be GSM rather than our phones or Congular in particular. I was with sprint and never had this issue. I can be in a wind tunnel and CDMA seems to suppress all background noise. When I called my cingular phone from my sprint ...

EWW! Friends on CDMA??? Do them a favor and switch them to GSM. If refuse, just stop talking to them. That'd be like seeing your friends get hooked on some dangerous drug. 😈

I love people that say stupid things like that. GSM and CDMA are both good systems. Which is better all depends on who you talk to. I personally believe CDMA has clearer calls. I was with Tmobile and Cingular. However GSM has better signal distance and battery life I believe.
