aw 3g is sweet

the cu500 is awesome CV is WAAAAAYYYYY better than v-cast thats super choppy and 40 + miles away ๐Ÿ˜

cingular care rep told me it was deployed in philadelphia and some of the adjacent suburbs ambler, bensalem etc..that was like 3 weeks ago

our training 3 weeks ago was there so i would say yes. they are fo some reason skipping over lancaster which is 45 minuites away ๐Ÿคจ

I live in Detroit, Michigan and ITS OFFICIAL we went online for 3g service, its a lil smaller than verizon's but almost the same size, sprint is the big boy as far as 3g coverage in Michigan but im sooo happy, i cant wait to get my CU500 or another phone they plan to release, GO CINGULAR!!!

Weren't you just posting (2 wks ago) in the Tmobile forum that you are switching to them??

๐Ÿ˜ฒ you caught that, um, im not gonna lie, yes but im just happy cingular released 3g, but tmobile is still an option mostly because of price but i dont know what ill do tomorrow so i should had never posted that, wow i just shot myself in the foot, oh well

Don't worry - I have both carriers and know Tmob is much better price-wise. In my area they both work equally as well. I am neither pro-Cingy nor pro-Tmobile just pro-GSM!! Good Luck with whomever you decide to go with. ๐Ÿ™‚

if i were to switch to another company besides cingular it would certainly be tmobile just because like you said, its gsm, i support gsm and i like that technology over cdma, gsm is an open standard and im all about supporting open standards: unix, linux, gsm gives you more freedom to do whatever with your phone ,cdma has a closed business model,

Question for everybody, how much do you think 3G will improve ARPU? We got the training showing that Docomo almost quadrupled data arpu when they rolled out 3G, but thats in Japan, where lets face it, the Japanese are a lot more tech/mobile crazy as a whole. Do you think it will come even close to that, or do you think its going to be more of a gradual increase as we continue to roll out more services using 3G that people want?

I think 3G will drastically improve Data ARPU, but it does depend on the technology that is used and the applications but with recent trends and surveys are indicating many customers or potential ones would want to upgrade to 3G+ applications and as you can see data, ARPU continues to rise so I think it will keep going up.
