W810 update....again
The W810 will lauch on September 21st. Price point is confirmed at $199.99 with a $50 MIR. Also, Cingular is doing a cross promotion deal with the 1GB sony duo memory stick. The stick with be $70 with a Cingular sponsered $70 MIR.
The phone will come with a 128MB stick in the box.

Unlocked, the phone comes with 512mb in the box. Are you saying the 1gb will be $140 and you can get it for $70 with the rebate, or it will be $70 and you can get it for free. I got confused on that part.

I've had my w810 for about 2 weeks. I still can't decide if I like it better than my 6682. The camera is absolutely fantastic definitely the best feature. The walkman feature is nice but it distorts at high volume when being played through the phone. My biggest gripe is that it tends to freeze up for 5 seconds at time while trying to text/go through menus.

I was in the same box as you. But it took me a couple of weeks to decide I did like it better than my 6682. You have to admit opera mini is faster on the w810 too, especially getting it loaded up. On the text thing, I wonder if you have a lot of msgs in your inbox/outbox. That tends to slow the phone down a bit if you do.

Yeah the slowing down happens with no text or a lot of text in the in/out box. The opera browser is a ton faster you are right.

maybe is't just me but I used one at the sun crap store and was not impressed. Small bar style blah phone. the screen was smaller that I hoped but good reception. I don't know, I am dissappointed and I still like the w 600 better. But now it's all about the BB pearl đ¤¤

I can't beleive you all have waited this long. I gave up and bought an unlocked w810 for $300 and got a 512MB card with it...plus I don't have to worry about any branding bugs.

HA! that's funny cause I'm waiting for Cingular to release the phone, because I don't want to put up with the bugs of the unlocked version. đ I expect Cingular's version to be better... It better be! they have to justify to delays somehow...

I highly doubt that it'll be better...what are they going to do add a few games and wallpapers? or maybe that rockin cingular sticker on the bottom instead of the walkman logo!? Is that considered better? =P

The Cingular version should be more compatible with Cingular's data features.
