😳 Does anybody know IF Cingular will carry this one? And if so, when? The SE Eshop page has it available for purchase. (Along with the P990, W300 and W810).

k790 Cingular will carry that one. The p990 is not likely. The w300i is testing out pretty good should happen. The w810 has not tested that great. Cingular has realized that they have sold a lot of B.S. phones in the past. The current defect rate in the cell phone lineup is not acceptable. Cingular is trying to get rid of the garbage handsets. Currently trying to sell out their inventory because there are a few phones that grade out really high. I heard palm has been doing some good work.

🙂 Believe me, I certainly understand the product testing process. It can be frustrating at times. I am surprised about the W810 not doing that well, but I am more interested in the new camera/PDA types then the music/iPod-ish ones. In the end it's like shopping for a car. You have an econo-box (like a C2000), you see your choices into a mid-range model (like a RAZR or ZX20), but you REALLY want the top of the line (like the upcoming Palm, 8525, or K790).
Oh well...it's been a long summer. I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. Thanks for the input!

i don't know about that. all the engineers that i have talked to in the carolina's love the w810. they've been using it for the last two months. it's a solid phone. all their reports rated the phone very high.

I love this phone, however I woud be totally in shock if Cingular ever carried this phone. They dont seem to want to carry any high end phones.

SE and Best Buy are in talks to make this an exclusive hanset for them. Best Buy is also getting the W300.
