Never thought this day would come...

But I'm XBM'ing my just short of a year old 6682.

I woke up this morning and went to make a phone call, and this thing would not let my H700 connect to it. No problems whatsoever connecting it to the SLVR. And when I try doing a search for bluetooth devices it finds none.

I tried power cycling a couple times to no avail. I think the bluetooth antenna is broken or something. Ugh.

Never thought this day would come...

I've seen the bluetooth modules kind of "detach" from phones before, but it's a software thing rather than hardware. Did you try a factory reset already?

Actually I just downloaded the Nokia Software Updater thing off of Nokia.com and updated it for the first time since I got it.

You did that before or after it stopped working?

I did that before. But didn't have a single problem with the phone before today. It won't connect to anything with bluetooth. I don't think it's software, because it says bluetooth is on. I think it's hardware, it must be dislodged.

😁 I know what you mean. In fact I dropped my 6682 on the freeway while riding my motorcycle. I turned around because I noticed it fall out, due to myself looking over at the girl I was riding next to. I wait for traffic to pass praying my phone doesnt get ran over. I run across the freeway pick up my phone. I find the battery in the grass somehow, yet never found the back case(camera still works though, yay). The battery was kind of bent so I bent it back in place, stick it in my mangled 6682 which luckily has the screen in tact and it still works. In fact im using it still to this day and this happened well over 6 months ago. From this point on I have been sold on nokia. I purchased the 9300 (excelent pda I might add). Just thought I would...

So I just got my replacement in the mail.

Thing looks brand new (they do a good job with that).

But get this. There was a LITTLE piece of plastic in one of the grooves for the back case, and this little thing was blocking the back from going on. I had to get a fine screw driver and shovel that thing out of there.

THEN I turn it on, hook it up, seems to be working fine. Bluetooth is great.

I try plugging it into my computer, and it never acknowledges it on the phone. The Data Icon never pops up. So I traded a defective phone for another defective phone! Yay!

Yea, that problem seems to be going around with the XBM department. Just give em a call up again and they'll express ship you another phone. The bad thing about it though is you might have to call them three to four times just to get a phone that works properly. But keep your head up, eventually you'll get one.
