I think they're going to do a huge advertising campaign incorporating a nation wide 3g launch, ptt, moto Q, moto v3 maxx, and who knows maybe they'll still be riding the annoying dropped calls campaign when it happens.
It will be big to try to lessen the confusion, but it will still be confusing no matter what they do...

will Cingular Wireless be known as at&t wireless? if so, when will all of this be taking place?

I don't think there is anyway they can spin it without confusing the hell out of all the customers...

I doubt they're really worried about how confusin it all is -- they'll just let us lowly reps try to explain it. We will probably see more of the same types of commercials as there are already where at&t touts its integrated set of options -- wireless, landline, internet. I guess soon we'll lose points on quality evals if we ever say the word "Cingular" -- kinda funny because now we lose 'em if we ever utter "AT&T". What do you think we'll have to say instead of Cingular??? Maybe "Jack's old network"? The post merger/pre buyout network? 😕

I think they should make it so it sounds simple. Just have the commercials have some old person saying. " We are changing the name back to at&t because it is going to be much cheaper to have one name for all of our services. So now your phone and your bill will say at&t. Verizon and T-mobile did the same thing. If you are too stupid to understand a name change call us. We will email you simple pictures with big font explaining everything."

This is apparently a popular idea (three people have mentioned it in this thread so far). I think Cingular needs to really think about doing this! I wouldn't mind seeing a blue jack, he'd look cooler that way anyway.

From what i hear that they will not call it at&t wireless that they will change the name from Cingular Wireless to at&t buisness solutions

They are not going to call it AT&T Business Solutions. That is an extremely unnatractive name...especially to the larger consumer market as opposed to business.
