I know people have been starting threads about this for a while now but dammit...WE NEED SOME NEW PHONES!!! Sure the zx-20 is here and the v3i is coming, but those are really just two upgrades from their predecessors. We need more BRAND NEW PHONES!!! I was excited about the 6126, but it appears that that device has been cancelled.
I seriously cant sell this crap anymore.
...
agreed..its hard to feel excited about a phone that youve described over 2000 times..
...
It wasn't that long ago when there were only five choices a customer had.
Our wall was much more organized then.
...
There was a time when the 6340 was the only phone in stock đ˛
...
haha oh the days of gait
...
soon enough... just got in the lg cu500 UMTS,v3i in two weeks, 810 in two-three weeks. That's three phones by the end of sept. there is two more I think by the end of oct. but I can't remember the model #'s. Our line up is still better then anybody elses.
...
Verizon's phone line up is way better than Cingular's at the present time. Please wake up and stop dreaming.
...
LOL, CDMA SUCKS!!! đ¤Ŗ
...
They have a better phone line up than Cingular though. And I'm a Cingular customer for over 10 years now, but their line up is old and tired, and they keep postponing and cancelling great phones.
...
No not better, CDMA! I will never carry an overheating, no SIM having, no battery life POS! Cingular will bounce back this fall.
...
that about sums it up. V cast? in callin? you can put you're CDMA V phone IN you're a$$
...
If they were great phones, they wouldn't have failed quality testing.
...
How about the 6230. Great phone, until Cingular screwed it up with their "testing and software". They will screw up another great phone, the w810 (if they even decide to carry it)
...
đ , nokia screwed up the 6230 not cingular. all cingular phones were set to the enhanced network standard. nokia had problems loading it on the 6230, no other phone had that problem. that's a nokia problem not cingular software problem. get your facts straight.
...
If Nokia had screwed it up, all the unlocked unbranded 6230's would have been screwed up, and they weren't.
...
đ¤Ŗ nokia couldn't get the cingular software loaded correctly. that was the problem. all other phones were fine. the 6230 wouldn't except the software upgrade. cingular didn't screw the phone up.
...
Yes they did, but requesting such crappy software be put on the phone. Cingular just needs to leave certain things alone, and they will work fine.
...
no they won't, not with our network. the software was to improve service for customers and it did.
...
The original 6230's, the one's that were fine, were fine. Awesome. Probably the best phone ever.
Then cingular said, "Hey, we are going to put the ENS in the new ones."
And they stopped working.
I'm with Icyhot. I think it was cingular's wrongdoing.
...
the same software worked fine on ever other phone. not cingular's fault. nokia should have fixed the problem with the phone. they couldn't.
...
Dude, get out of Cingular's bed. It's all gonna be good đ Like I said, there have been many good phones Miss Perfection Cingular has chosen not to carry. But as long as Nokia and SE and Moto make good GSM phones, I will continue to buy unlocked. I don't need to have their software on it. I'm actually better off without it.
...
not in cingular's bed, just know more about the situation than you do. đ that's great you buy unlocked phones. i like being able to call cingular for warranty instead of the OEM. they take twice as long to replace your equipment. some send you the same phone back damaged (motorola)! Plus as of right now, no one builds unlocked HSDPA 850/1900MHz phones, besides the HTC TyTN. companies only build them for cingular.
...
I agree we need some new phones... we haven't really had a "different" phone, or a "must have" phone in a long time.
A note about the 6126: The phone hasn't been cancelled, it's had some problems, but will be released soon.
...
Not that I'm doubting you, but where did you get your information? đ
...
corporate rep said that the 6126 is "off the road map" as of two days ago. No plans to bring it back âšī¸. Besides the awesome color of the screen the phone was kind of crappy. For a Nokia that is....Let Verizon have it
...
I last read the planned "roadmap" probably about a week ago and it was still on there with a new scheduled release date. Unless this changed since then, it'll be out as soon as the new software gets through final testing.
...
The 3125 should be released in approx 2 weeks. Nice looking flip.
...
Our lineup isn't THAT bad. The cu500 is a badass underrated phone! Seriously that phone alone should have a huge advertising campaign, but no. Instead we see this crap about dropped calls, and family talk!
We need to see a "razr like" campaign for the 3g, and D807. I don't understand why people aren't excited about the D807 and the cu500!? These are SWEET phones! I currently use both. I use the cu500 as a primary phone and my backup line is the D807 and I love them both!!
Let's not bitch about our current line, instead lets PROMOTE it!!
...
Because our marketing in ATL SUCK!!!! They really need some help. I totally agree with you. They need to promote the D807, CU500, 8125, and zx-20! No one cares about the dropped calls or family talk. Consumers want handsets!!!
...
yes and no. I had a guy buy a d807 just because he thought it was call. But when it dropped every other call her returned it.
...
I used the 807 for a month and wasn't satisfied with the reception. I switched to a 500 from that and haven't had any problems other than when UMTS went poot in Dallas.
...
I'd have to agree on the D807 sucking.
The CU500 though, that phone is sick, however...
For EITHER of these phones, WHY NOT INCLUDE A MEMORY CARD AND A DATA CABLE IN THE BOX.
People don't want to have to buy this crap separately. THEY WANT IT WHEN THEY GET THE PHONE.
They wanna go home THAT DAY and make the phone do everything they want it to.
I've had so many people NOT buy these phones and opt to go with the SLVR instead because the SLVR has it all in the box.
...
and yet they promote the SLVR that is know to drop calls everywhere. it was stated in the test report before we launched it, but since it was cool looking and a moto they sold it anyway! and it's still $200 bucks!!!
...
Cingular might be at a stand still with thier line up but its only because of upgrading there technology. The line up by the end of quarter 4 is set to have 9 new phones that all include the new umts/hsdpa data service. further more, AT&T is in the middle of of buying SBC so the name Cingular will once again be changed but not to AT&T wireless, Just AT&T. cingular has not been the one deciding the cancels of the phones they are getting. and not that its that great of a phone, but they are releasing the KRZR K1 soon enough so that should give it some more life. so they think
