anybody hear of the lawsuit that is going on with cingular

this is some $hit!!!. customers having problems with their service. suprise, surpise. And now cingular got a lawsuit on their hands lol. Hope the customers get everything they deserve back it looks good on cingular.

Ah, the week old article. Yes, I believe we've all heard of this.

On another note, expect an upcoming lawsuit for the Sprint/Nextel customers, since I've heard more coming into my store complaining about deteriorating service than I have Legacy AT&T customers.

And I don't even sell Nextel!

Honestly though, I think their merger has been a lot worse. Almost half of my activations the past three months or so have been ports from one of those two carriers, and more than half of those were cancelling service and paying an ETF because the service was that bad.

A lawsuit filed in federal court says that Cingular Wireless LLC purposely neglected the network it acquired when it merged with AT&T Wireless in 2004, allowing customers' service to degrade and forcing AT&T customers to sign new contracts.

Filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle, the class-action suit claims that "After Cingular's acquisition of AT&T Wireless, Cingular deliberately schemed to dismantle the AT&T Wireless network so as to diminish and degrade the service provided to AT&T Wireless customers, despite a massive marketing campaign promising that the merger would be seamless for AT&T Wireless customers
