Letter I got from cingular regarding SIMcard
I recieved a letter from cingular stated that I need to get a new 64k sim card. DO they know what card people are using and how do they know this? DO I have to get this new card or what will happen if I just stay with my 32k card? Why do they want me to get the new 64k card?
Thanks

It is for your own benefit. A 64K SIM card will give you better service. It'll be less likely that you drop a call with a 64K sim card.

Would his service be disconnected eventually if he stayed with the 32k card?

LOL
No; it won't be disconnected.

What does "Unauthorized SIM" mean? I had someone bring a Cingular phone in to me earlier today that wanted to activate it on a Verizon prepay account. It said "Unauthorized SIM." I've never worked with GSM carriers so I'm pretty stupid when it comes to GSM phone error messages.
...
It could be that:
SIM is not activated.
Other carrier's SIM card.
Line is not active.

I kinda figured it meant "Initial Programming Needed," but I'm bored as hell so I thought I'd ask.

what area do you live in? it may be where they are completely putting people on the former att network. the larger sim is need to hold the plmn.

Is there anythig bigger than a 64k card because my phone drops calls at times. How much do cards cost?
