๐Ÿ˜ก I'm not a fan of any carrier but since I work for Cingular, I know someone is gonna ask me about this class action lawsuit aganist them. To be honest, the way this society works it was only a matter of time before someone took them to court just like people do with every other damn corporation. People sue each other all the time sometimes for dumb reasons and I have to say this Cingular degraded our service one is both funny and kinda sad.

Funny that these people really think Cingular went out of their way to mess with their old TDMA service. TDMA is a dead network just move on because suing Cingular wont stop the corporate giant from continuing on with GSM, HSDPA, and UMTS which is far better than TDMA.

Sad that even if these peo...

I think too many people are too willing to assume that anytime someone sues they are greedy or seeking something they do not deserve.

These people see these lawsuits as a way to get money, but forget that sometimes it's not about the money but is more about principles.

Businesses should be held accountable for their misdeeds and not allowed to act without regard to ethics and laws simply because they are large.

I think it is funny that you dismiss the lawsuit considering the circumstances. Numerous customers have had issues across the country ranging from quality of service, fees, and coercion.

Even Cingular's own executive board has made statments regarding the encouragment of blue customers to orange.

In late May 2005, ...

I dont dismiss anything because I have been a part of lawsuit as well when there was a class action lawsuit aganist Farmers Auto insurance for not paying out the proper amounts due to policy holders after their accidents. So i know full well how if feels to get screwed over but the point you missed is that even if this lawsuit is a win for these unfortunate customers there will still be no change in the way big corporations like Cingular and Verizon do their business.

When I migrated customers they never had any fees to do so hell they got better deals than regular Cingular customers and I got s*it for that from people with Cingular accounts for years. So yea its not right that some of these AT&T customers got the shaft but who doesnt ge...

How do you think change happens? Spontaneously?

I do not understand why you think these people should take it in stride, when you were not willing to do the same in the Farmers Auto insurance suit you mentioned.

People should not worry about getting screwed over because other people are also being screwed over? What kind of logic is that?

would ne one agree someone should try throwing these plastic pieces of **** phones cigular has in thier line up at cingulars main headquarters window, with a note reading: stop approving crap phones! cingular has the weakest selection of all the carriers. not one high end phone worth buying. for being the largest US carrier they should consider loosening thier ties amd sell the Nokia N93 for example if they got their 3g in focus (like all the other competition is doin with improved networks). i beginning to wonder y i have cingular. god i hope an executive with balls reads this.

Just for the record the big business beat me in court even when i had evidence to back it up. I never said that these people should take anything in stride in fact I ssaid that I hope they win. I said that even if these people win, it will not stop Cingular, Verizon, TMobile or Sprint from finding other ways to get their money out of customers. So dont think that for a second after these lawsuits are over this wont happen again. Thats the logic and opinion that I have taken from watching how these companies work.

Honestly Cingular is supposed to be phasing out the TDMA network. The GOVERNMENT wants all old analog networks, including TDMA to be gone by 2008.
