Bluetooth Problem
I got a new bluetooth headset today in the mail. It's a nice SE HBH 610a. I like it a lot, but I cant get it to bond with my v551. My bt headset is bluetooth version 2.0 and my v551 has the bt version 1.1. Is it because of this??? 😲 I am only able to bond it with my SLVR which has the bt version 2.0 also.
It's not a big deal since I use my SLVR more anyway, but it would be nice to use it with my v551 too 😕

That sounds like the problem to me.... But I thought that BT 2.0 was supposed to be backward compatible... Anyone know for sure?

All bluetooth are compatible. Don't know why you can't pair that headset with that phone. Have you tried pairing any other headset with that phone? Could be the phone.

Well, I dont think is the phone because I used to use the bt on this phone. See, this is what happened. I had a bt headset that I used with my v551, but I gave it to my mom cuase I wasn't using it (broke up with bf and I was not on the phone much) Anyway, I got this one now but it won't bond with my old phone. I can use the bt on the v551 just fine. I transfer things to other phones and all that, the problem is with the headset. 😕 I definately thinking that I'm doing something wrong here. I read the box and it says "Bluetooth 2.0, fully compatible with 2.0, 1.2, 1.1 phones"

You said that use paired you SE bluetooth headset already with your SLVR. Now you can't pair it with another phone. Well, all you have to do (in order to pair with another phone) is press down both volume keys (up and down) at the same time for about 5 secs.
For some reason SE makes their bluetooth headsets like this. The first bond is by pressing the answer button for 5 secs, then to pair with other phones you use the volume keys. Kinda weird; eh? Smooch!
