Thanks for that update. Out of curiosity where did you get it from? I can look all day on csp and the my cingular site and never find anything? Cant wait for it to launch in my area. Wonder if corporate will give all of us RSC'S new 3g phones like they did when ptt was launched.

I got this info through an email I got from Steve Sitton, he is the president of the South East region (or something like that) ๐Ÿคจ

So Cingular's headquarters can finally have 3G? haha

What worse is Verizon had 3G in Atlanta before Cingular did!

Cingular had 3G in Atlanta in early 2004 as their first test market for HSDPA. Due to the fact that it was the first market, by the time they got through with the acquisition of AT&T and on track with launching an HSDPA network...the equipment Atlanta was running on was already old and outdated.

So, they took the network offline and upgraded the towers. It has actually been up and running for a good while now. This is just the first the new HSDPA equipment has been available to consumers there.

July for the Greater Sacramento,CA area. No specific date though. My RAE looked up the deployment schedule and it seems to be on schedule for initial deployment
