Why T-Mobile lost a loyal customer today (and Cingular got one)
(Disclaimer: I am just a consumer who reads the site ocassionally for cell phone reviews, but I know people who work for the phone companies read this website and so do other consumers, so that's why I am writing this).
Here is my story:
- I am currently under no contract obligation with T-mobile. I last upgraded my phone 16 months ago. I want a new nice phone. I am eligible for all the discounts that new customers are.

if cingular doesnt work out you can come over to the dark side (verizon wireless) and get real customer service.

question: what kinda phone you got
and i do not believe the hype over poor customer service, they actually are pretty helpful, never had a problem with them, their poor cs might be in a different market, i like in detroit and the service is pretty good here.

Don't take everything customer service says word for word. This goes for every company (there's even an incident at the Verizon Wireless forum) but I've gone through it myself with Cingular since I work for an agent.
Check here at this forum first if you have a question about policy.
For customer service, set up a online account @ cingular.com. Emailing your customer service questions is the way to go if you're not in a dire emergency; one has less chance of getting a bad deal in "customer service call center roulette" by email, one gets higher, steadier quality that way.
