How do you rack up a bill that big?

Well it seems that so called rap mogul Suge Knight only has $11.00 dollars in his checking account and no cash in his pocket. He has filled for bankruptcy and listed an $1100.00 debt to cingular. How would you rack up a bill that big without getting cut off first.

Hey I added a phone on my account a few years ago for a guy I was dating (yeah I know HUGEEEEEEEE mistake) and he racked it up to $1000 in one month because he used a TON of minutes.

Anythings possible...

PS-No, he never offered a DIME to help pay for the balance either... 🙄

WTF?!?!?! How do rack up a bill of $18K in one month, with 1 phone, let alone 87K.

I seriously don't understand. Would you like to elaborate?

Certainly. The $18,900 bill came from her calling her husband in Iraq on her cell and she had no international plan and was paying $2.87 per minute and talked to him for hours every day. The other guy found a website with a bootleg copy of lord of the rings 3 and he had a motorola mpx220 with windows media player and full internet and he got a 2 gig card for his phone and downloaded the movie FROM HIS PHONE and he told me it took his phone 6 days to do it, it never lost connection and he never answered just kept it on the charger and he had no internet and was paying I believe 0.003 per kilobyte and used millions...needless to say both accounts were cancelled and the customer were probably sued.

well opinions vary, the woman was crying and hung up and the man wanted my supervisor and said it was outrageous and blah blah blah and we should monitor cell phone usage during the month so these things dont happen. I advised him as a consumer it was his job to ask questions and not assume.

It seems common sense that a customer would ask about international long distance on a cell phone, because with a lanline it's the same way.

As far as that other guy, if he's so stupid to DL it to his phone, I don't believe that he's not smart enough to understand a "smart" phone 😛

You would be suprised what people do on their phones. Especially if they have the "latest and the greatest" and have no sense of self control. The $87K dude was probably like, "Hey free dl of LOTR3" It said free so he may have assumed that it meant "free" all around.

And the lasy who called Iraq: I have people who come in and cry cause they were charged international roaming in Canada when Canada is "in the U.S." to them.... I have to explain it's not the U.S., it is, however, north America. Not the same thing. She may have thought "free long distance" and Iraq is definately long distance!

If dude's lying or embellishing the story at all, it is still definately plausable that both of these scenarios will happen. Believe it or not, pe...

I believe I talked to the "Lord of the Rings" customer when I was working there too, either that one or another one who was equally stupid.
I couldn't do much more than laugh with these people in this position.

I worked with a guy who became a CSR in my old store. Before that he was a care rep for AT&T. He said the guy used a V551 as a modem teatherd to a laptop. He also said that it was around 17000, they credited back most of it and put him on the unlim data plan. He didn't say, however, that he took the call.
