AT&T to disconnect the Cingular name
Luckily it wont be on the old AT&T system. Guess we will have to start going to another board.

Old news, but I still think it's a waste of money to re brand to a dead name... and to change to a name and a brand that is so out of touch with the youth market, which is what all carriers need to survive. and older people have a dissociation with at&t from past experience. it does make sense to have a unified brand, but the way ed whiticre wants to go about doing it is ridiculous... people have come to like Cingular and the consumer logo that goes with it. within a few years Cingular has went from non existence to number 2 car...
