WTF! Dude the comment you made about how Cingular puts more into their network than Verizon not only tells me you don't research what you debate that your also a cingular fan boy and nothing else. You may have some good points on wireless technologies but you need think before you defend "your" Cingular. Now I'm talking about this comment you made "why is it that Verizon can have "the best network" standing still, but its impossible for cingular to match that, with its nonstop-rapid progress in network expansion and integration since november 2004"

Okay wtf! first of all Verizon spent OVER 6 billion in 04, and again over 6 billion in 05 not to mention More that 30 billion total in the last 6 years. So how the hell you can state verizon st...

Cingular invested in its network MORE than any other wireless carrier in 2005. And we'll do it again on 2006, so STHU! 😡

Show me a link of what they spent fanboy. Also telling someone to "STHU" is not the best way to debate something. Seriously Anx you get "too" defensive over cingular. Its not the end of the world if another cell phone company might have better service than the one you work for in some podunk village.

"In capital spending, Cingular reported capex of $7.5 billion during 2005 and Merrill Lynch expects the carrier to spend $7.2 billion this year. The numbers include expenditures on its new UMTS/high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) 3G networks as well as the integration of the former AT&T Wireless network.

Verizon's capital expenditures were $6.5 billion in 2005 and Lehman Brothers is forecasting it will spend about $6.3 billion in 2006. Lehman expects Verizon to cut spending on its EV-DO data network by about $500 million this year, while increasing expenditures on its voice network."

thus showing that cingular spends more than any other carrier including ver...

I think the original posters point was not that vzw spends more then cingular, but that vzw is hardly "standing still" as ruff put it. 6.5 billion < 7.6 or whatever but its hardly "standing still"

Cingular Continues to Improve Nationwide Cell Site Network
Cingular Wireless continues its commitment to building out its nationwide network infrastructure. In addition to the previously discussed commitment of over $4.6 billion to enhance its wireless coverage, quality and capacity throughout numerous markets across the country, the Company has announced another $1.6 billion in investments for another 857 cell sites located throughout the United States which were completed in 2005. The additional capital expenditures included:

Way to call me out when you don't know what the f.uck you are talking about.

First of all, "standing still" was not implying that Verizon does not spend money on expanding/upgrading their network. Any and every company out there spends a considerable amount of money on their company to improve, and Verizon is no exception.

However, since 2004, Cingular has been doing everything in their power (and more) to improve their business as a whole. And comparing Verizon's progress to Cingular's, Cingular is making everybody look like they are standing still. With the acquisition of AT&T Wireless doubled their tower count and are integrating the networks as quickly as possible.

Also, Cingular has had the most aggressive expansion plan of all...

That should say:

In 2005, Cingular spent $6.5 billion on GSM network expansion alone.

Not $6.4 billion.

No I do not believe "I was schooled" Army and by all means "standing still" in my book means just that. So if RUFF wants to imply that standing Still (that blatantly means what it says) means something else to save his words than so be it. That by the way tells me hes not only fan-boy but a contradicting fan-boy at that too.

thanks again for playing.

P.S links were provided by another person. and if you ever need me to prove something just say so pal. I can and will back up anything I post (For the posts I cant i will let it be known)

Who are you to tell me what I was implying when I say what I say? Nobody.

Who are you to call me a fanboy when you come marching into the Cingular forum taking things out of context? Nobody.

Who is "saving their words" here? Nobody.

And furthermore, when did I ever say anything about "my" Cingular like you i>implied in your original post?

The only person that is contradicting what was said is you.

You're welcome.

You're way to defensive and angry, You simply stated and I quote "why is it that Verizon can have "the best network" standing still, but its impossible for Cingular to match that" I stated (you can quote me) that verizon doesn't stand still they spend a lot of money too on their network. Now RUFF seriously, there is no reason to curse and throw a fit about that. Your very passionate about the Cingular statistics and company as a whole. There is nothing worng with that, But when your called out on something don't come back with hysterics and antics, I will provide proof on anything I post, I simply asked for proof from Anx per him telling me to "STHU" I did it because he very rarely provides proof on anything he posts, and aside from that, kn...
